As its new $400 million state-of-the-art carbon-neutral manufacturing and distribution facility nears completion, Suntory Oceania has issued a national recruitment callout to fill 130 permanent roles located right across the country. Starting now, this recruitment process will continue up until the commencement of alcohol production next year in 2025.
The current recruitment will help to deliver Suntory Oceania’s new Licensed function, a dynamic unit dedicated to driving sales, channel expansion and customer growth. According to Gordon Treanor, the new recruits will be at the very core of the new $3 billion partnership.
“We’re in the process of building exceptional teams from the ground up to support our new licensed function,” said Gordon Treanor, Suntory Beverage & Food Oceania’s Licensed Director.
“We are looking for passionate individuals who want to grow with us, contribute to our success, and be a part of an organisation that values innovation, quality, and sustainability.
“This team will be essential in bringing Suntory’s iconic portfolio to market from mid-2025.”
When asked what new recruits should expect, Treanor said “being part of a global multinational like Suntory is exhilarating. The exposure to diverse markets and cutting-edge innovation. For new hires, it's an opportunity to be at the forefront of a dynamic, global industry, where every day brings new challenges and learning experiences. The chance to contribute to a brand with such a rich heritage and bold vision is truly inspiring."
Working for Suntory Oceania also brings with it the benefits of working for a brand with as much pedigree as Suntory. Founded over 120 years ago, Suntory Group is an international FMCG business with over 300 brands in 120 countries. From mid next year, Suntory Oceania’s Queensland facility, the largest single investment into Australia’s FMCG sector in over a decade, will become responsible for the domestic production and distribution of more than 40 market-leading brands, including Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Hibiki whisky, Canadian Club, and Minus 196.
Once up and running, Suntory Oceania - a partnership between Suntory Global Spirits and Suntory Beverage & Food - is set to become Australia and New Zealand’s fourth largest liquor group with a value of $3 billion.
According to Gordon Treanor, “this partnership is all about bringing the best of Suntory to Oceania. With the ability to accelerate our growth trajectory, we believe it will redefine market dynamics and offer more consumer beverage moments, unlocking innovation for our customers across retail and hospitality industries.”
Suntory is also recognised for its forward-thinking approach towards fostering a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture. This workplace culture means employees are provided with added support to help personal and professional growth, along with strengthening internal relationships. All employees at Suntory will enjoy opportunities for professional development, flexible work arrangements, competitive salaries, and the chance to be a part of some of the world’s most iconic and respected brands. Working at Suntory also means becoming part of a culture that values diversity, encourages creativity, and supports career growth. The company’s commitment to sustainability and positively contributing to the community further enhances its reputation as a responsible and desirable employer.
“At Suntory, we believe in fostering a work environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and innovation,” said Treanor.
“Our team members are our greatest asset, and we are dedicated to providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed."
Gordon Treanor, Licensed Sales Director at Suntory Beverage & Food Oceania, has recently been joined by new Head of Customer Laura Hazelhurst.
