Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) extended its distribution agreement with Molson Coors this week, agreeing to also manage the American brewer’s new Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) and Miller Chill beers in Australia. The two beers will join Molson Coors’ Coors Light and Blue Moon brands in Australia, which have been managed by CCA since 2013.

CCA’s Managing Director of Alcohol and Coffee, Shane Richardson said, “This new agreement deepens our existing relationship with Molson Coors, now the world’s third-largest brewer, and represents an exciting step in our journey to grow our beer business across Australia.”

The relationship also marks a new acquisition for Molson Coors International, a division of Molson Coors, which finalised its purchase of SABMiller’s MillerCoors LLC joint venture on Tuesday, including the two well-known US brands, MGD and Miller Chill.

Stewart Glendinning, CEO of Molson Coors International, said: “As we welcome the world-famous Miller family of brands into our business globally, we are thrilled to be renewing our partnership with Coca-Cola Amatil.

“For nearly three years, Amatil has done an incredible job introducing the Australian market to Coors and Blue Moon, and we’re excited to continue our work together as we seek to further delight Australian beer drinkers with Miller Chill and MGD.”
