Four Pillars Australian Christmas Gin

Four Pillars has released a limited edition gin that smells and tastes like Christmas. The gin has been aged in sherry barrels and finished with a dash of delicious Rutherglen muscat.

Four Pillars Australian Christmas Gin was inspired by distillery co-founder Cam’s love of Australia, Christmas, gin, and his late mum Wilma.

Cam remembers his mum making the Christmas puddings on Derby Day while the rest of the family watched the races. So, a couple of years ago on Derby Day, Cam distilled some Christmas puddings made using his mum’s recipe and place them into Four Pillar’s Wilma still with a distilling base of juniper, cinnamon, star anise, coriander and angelica.

At the same time, Cam was also working on a gin aged in two 125-year-old ex-Grant barrels that had stored Rutherglen muscat for 80 years. These two gins were blended together and finished with a drop of Rutherglen classic muscat to round out the palate and add a touch of richness.

This gin smells, and tastes, just like Christmas. It can be sipped neat, used in a Christmas Martinez, poured over a pudding or added to eggnog.

Available to select independent retail or from Four Pillar’s distillery door and website. RRP $95
