The whisky is a blend of five signature single malts from five areas of Speyside in Scotland – from Tormore to Longmorn, Strathisla, Allt A’Bhainne and Braeval.
Chivas’ unique blending team selected the five signature malts from an inventory of some one million casks. Of all that were nosed and tasted, just one per cent was hand-selected for the final blend.
This art of blending is one that has been mastered and taught by just five Master Blenders in all of Chivas Regal’s history and Chivas Ultis pays tribute to those men, including Charles Howard, Charles Julian, Alan Baillie, Jimmy Lang and current Chivas Regal Custodian Master Blender, Colin Scott.
“I am honoured to be one of only five Master Blenders for Chivas Regal, and I believe that Chivas Regal Ultis represents the true essence of this iconic Scotch whisky,” Scott commented. “With the release of Chivas Regal Ultis, only the most precious single malts from five signature Speyside distilleries have been selected to craft this luxury blended malt whisky from the House of Chivas.
“The crystalline freshness of Tormore shines through along with the contrasting, hint of spicy warmth present in Allt A’Bhainne, while the Longmorn single malt adds balance to the blend. The floral style of Braeval complements the fruity sweetness of Strathisla to create a complex and rich blended malt Scotch whisky. Chivas Regal Ultis is a blend that draws on the expertise that has been handed down throughout the centuries and it will delight whisky connoisseurs around the world.”
Chivas Regal Ultis comes in a slender shaped bottle and features a more contemporary crest in gold Champagne. Recognising the theme of this whisky, the bottle also features a pen clip closure which is etched with five rings and a striking placement of the Roman numeral figure for five on the base and within the crest label.

Chivas Regal Ultis is available from Pernod Ricard Winemakers and retails for $220 per 700ml.
