Guinness has released limited edition thermals to keep punters toasty during stout-drinking season along with their Brewery of Metrology to predict ideal Guinness-drinking conditions.

Featuring a stylised version of the iconic Guinness harp, the limited edition thermals are made from 100 per cent merino wool and are designed to keep Guinness lovers warm while they enjoy their stout chilled.

The Brewery of Meteorology platform will provide an up-to-date weather "pourcast" using geo-targeted live weather data so local drinkers know when the temperature in their area is perfect for a winter pint.

Guinness has appointed popular Irish expat and no-nonsense celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge as honorary meteorologist. Fassnidge said he's sure the limited-edition thermals will be a firm favourite with Guinness lovers nationwide.

"As the weather gets cooler, there's nothing better than rugging up and enjoying a Guinness. I'll be keeping an eye on the temperature this winter, and when it drops, I hope to see plenty of Guinness fans donning their Guinness thermals and heading to a cosy pub to enjoy a pint," he said.

For the month of June The Brewery of Meteorology is offering Guinness enthusiasts in New South Wales and Victoria the chance to claim a free pint of Guinness every time the temperature drops below nine degrees celsius - the idea temptation for Guinness consumption.
