An idea conceived with well known editor Michael Williams, designs Evi.O Studio and online book retailer, Booktopia, The Writer’s Gin embodies artistic passion and purpose.
Designed to be paired with a good tonic and novel of your choice, the new release is said to exude notes of Australian peach, native thyme, raspberry and lemon myrtle botanicals.
If you’re all out of good books, the new gin is available in the Archie Rose Book Club pack, which includes a bottle of The Writer’s Gin, a custom-designed bookmark by Evi.O Studio and two books chosen by Williams along with an option to update your glassware with a set of cocktail-ready Maison Balzac goblets or coupes.
The unique label design artwork features a quote from iconic Australian author Helen Garner, who wrote the classics Monkey Grip and Joe Cinque’s Consolation, which reads: “every page of writing is the result of a thousand tiny decisions and desperate acts of will.”
A testament to the agony and ecstasy of both reading and writing, the Writer’s Gin will officially launch at a book club event hosted by Archie Rose at The Library Bar at the State Library of New South Wales on July 25.
