Campari will begin the marketing and distribution of Braulio and Cynar in Australia over the next few months.

The take up of the two premium Italian bitters in Campari Australia’s portfolio follows Gruppo Campari’s global acquisition of Fratelli Averna S.p.A. (Averna Group) last year.

Both bitters/digestifs are traditionally served neat or on the rocks, and can also be used in cocktails.

Braulio has a 21% ABV and is produced from a blend of herbs, roots and berries, while matured in oak barrels for up to two years to fully integrate the flavours and add complexity.

Cynar on the other hand is slightly lower in ABV, 16.5%, and is an artichoke-based spirit, made from a blend of artichoke and 13 select herbs and plants.

Braulio retails for $39.99 and is expected to be available from the end of August, while Cynar will be available from mid-July and retails for $34.99.
