The classic Italian aperitivo Campari is turning Sydney red for the month of August as part of it’s latest activation, Rediscover Red.

Campari launched the activation on August 4 by transforming the Clare Bar at The Old Clare Hotel in Chippendale, creating a red themed pop-up bar within the venue in celebration of the time-honoured Italian brand. The pop-up Campari Red Bar will take over The Clare Bar for the month of August.

The event marked the beginning of Rediscover Red with a select Campari bespoke cocktail menu, Italian canapés courtesy of Kensington Street Social, as well as sneaker giveaways by Italy’s Superga. The event was complete with a DJ, red mood lighting, vintage artworks, Campari bottle installations and of course, a red coloured Italian Campari branded Vespa outside the bar, along with a custom branded Fiat 500 offering VIP guests exclusive transfers to the bar.

As part of the campaign, Campari will have a number of events at the Red Bar, including Superga sneaker monogramming, a Messina Gelato collaboration offering a selection of curated flavours to complement Campari and bespoke Campari cronuts from Brewtown Newtown.

A number of other venues are also taking part in Rediscover Red with Kensington Street Social and Mrs Sippy will feature a Campari drinks trolley in their venues throughout August. Coco Cubano are featuring a Cubano Campari Sunrise cocktail throughout the month, while Iceberg’s in Bondi will feature a Campari mural with guests receiving a complementary canapés with every Campari and tonic ordered.

The month will be rounded out with the Campari Remixed cocktail competition on August 31 with Campari brand ambassadors shaking it off against the best bartenders from The Clare and Kensington Street Social.
