Chivas Regal has launched a two part video series on its New Regals platform, celebrating the next generation who live to challenge the definition of success.
The I Rise, We Rise, video profiles author, DJ and media personality Lilian Ahenkan, aka Flex Mami, and ARIA-nominated emcee Hooligan Hefs with both sharing their stories of progress, success and the power of community.
She emerged as an opinion leader and Australia's "it" girl through 2017. Over the years, Flex has gone from strength to strength in growing her empire. Beyond her iconic style and real talk, Flex has worn the hats of podcaster, DJ, TV host, radio presenter, author, business woman and more. In her I Rise, We Rise episode, Flex shares, “I’ve done all these amazing things, gotten all these amazing opportunities… I don’t gate keep how I got here. Choosing to maintain the success narrative in a really open way is one of the biggest gifts that I can give.”
Hooligan Hefs is an ARIA-nominated artist and pioneer of Australian drill, and in the video he shares a message of accountability with his community. Having collaborated with some of the genre’s biggest artists globally from Aitch to S1mba, Hefs says, “People think Western Sydney is a rough area. But coming from here, it’s a blessing. All obstacles you face here, they’re lessons.”
