A Pale Ale sold exclusively at Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars has been named as the World’s Best Pale Bitter 4.5% to 5.5% at the World Beer Awards in London.
The awards featured more than 3500 beers from 56 countries that were judged during a series of blind tastings.
The Tinnies range also took out Australia’s Best Session IPA, Pale Ale and Tropical XPA.
Tinnies Pale Ale features a balanced flavour profile of bitterness and biscuit malt, backed with stone fruit, pine and citrus characters.
Chair of the World Beer Awards Adrian Tierney-Jones said that the winners in the World Beer Awards show an exciting snapshot of some of the best beers being brewed across the globe today.
Coles Acting Chief Executive of Liquor, Cathi Scarce, said the accolade was testament to the hard work of Kade Wilson and his team of brewers at Brick Lane, who started making the exclusive beer for Coles Liquor to sell through Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars last year.
“To have this recognition as the world’s best beer in its class is further evidence that we’re getting it right by working with the best brewers to bring fantastic new products to our customers,” she said.
“Over the past 12 months we’ve won almost 200 awards and medals for our exclusive wines, beers and spirits – and we will continue to focus on delighting our customers and offering them world class products and choice to ensure that our range is reflective of the changing customer landscape”
