Following on from the recent successful launch of the Coravin World Wine Tour, the wine preservation system producer has announced a series of events that will present Australian consumers with the chance to trial some of the best wine’s produced locally by the glass.
The Tour is being hosted in conjunction with Halliday Wine Companion and will feature five exclusive bottles that collectively showcase the very best that Australian wine has to offer.
“When Halliday unveils its top wines, the wine world listens. It’s notoriously difficult to get your hands on these truly exceptional wines once they have been announced as winners,” said Greg Lambert, Coravin’s Founder.
“It’s long been our aim to make the world of fine wine more accessible by the glass, so we’ve partnered with Halliday for our second-ever Coravin World Wine Tour in Australia to give wine fans the opportunity to taste the country’s top wines without hassle, commitment, or the price tag, of purchasing them by the bottle.”
The activation will take place up until the end of September in Sydney’s Fix Wine Bar & Restaurant, Adelaide’s 2KW Bar & Restaurant, and Geelong’s Archive Wine Bar.
All five wines received awards in Halliday’s 2025 Wine Companion. This includes:
- Oakridge 864 Drive Block Funder & Diamond Vineyard Chardonnay 2022
- Brown Brothers Patricia Brut Pinot Noir Chardonnay 2018, King Valley
- Rieslingfreak No. 12 Riesling 2023, Eden Valley
- Giant Steps Applejack Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023, Yarra Valley
- Thistledown Wines This Charming Man Single Vineyard Clarendon Grenache 2023, McLaren Vale
Next month’s activation follows on from the debut of the Coravin World Wine Tour in Australia in May. Also taking place in select locations in France, Italy, and the UK, this Tour provided attendees with the opportunity to trial wines by the glass from a menu featuring internationally acclaimed wines such as the Champagne Salon ‘S’ Blanc de Blanc Brut 2013, which carries a retail price of $3800 per bottle, and the Jonata El Desafio Cabernet Sauvignon 2017. This tour also featured rare Australian wines such as Bass Phillip Pinot Noir 2021 and Bass Phillip Chardonnay 2021.
