Greenwich Village's famed Dante NYC can't get enough of Australia.

After hosting Sydney's Maybe Frank for a pop-up last week, the team are heading Down Under to hold pop-ups of their own at Rockpool in Sydney and Melbourne.

The collaboration has been prompted by Dante NYC co-owner Linden Pride once being Rockpool’s bar manager, plus he's also a longtime friend of Neil Perry.

Perry was at Dante earlier this year during a Qantas event (below), with Pride noting: "Neil’s philosophy about food, and restaurants, has been something I have always come back to, and without question, defined my career. Couldn’t be prouder to host him and his team, in my own restaurant, as we served lunch today in coordination with Qantas First Class. Perfectly executed afternoon, and certainly a high water mark for us at Dante."

In Australia, the pair will celebrate 20 years of friendship and working history with a series of events that showcase why Dante has been crowned New York’s Best Negroni, Favourite Bar in NYC and Winner Best Bar in NYC and America by the likes of New York Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler and Time Out.

The events will kick off with an opening party on Sunday May 5, from 2-7pm. Guests will enjoy flowing Dante signature cocktails, paired with Rockpool food.

There will also be walk ins on Monday May 6 and Tuesday May 7 from 3pm at Rockpool Bar & Grill and Rosetta Trattoria on Wednesday 8 and Friday May 10 from 3pm.

Melbourne events will include an opening party at Alfred Place on Monday May 13 from 4–10pm; walk ins at Alfred Place on Tuesday May 14 and Wednesday, May 15, from 4pm – 9pm; and at Rosetta Ristorante on Thursday, May 16, from 4pm – 9pm.
