Dead Man’s Fingers will launch its Spiced Rum nationwide this month.
The brand is part of Halewood Australia; a subsidiary of Halewood Wine and Spirits International, the UK's leading independent wine and spirits manufacturer and distributor.
Halewood produces a range of gin, whiskey, rum, vodka, craft beers, and ciders. It also owns six distillers worldwide, with the most recent addition being Ironbark Distillery, located in Australia near the Hawkesbury River.
Dead Man’s Fingers itself was originally created in Cornwall in England, and features the slightly sweeter characteristics of orange, in contrast to more mainstream citrus notes of lemon and lime.
Dead Man’s Fingers will make its Australian debut with its original Spiced Rum at the end of October, with two additional flavours set to drop next month - Dead Man’s Fingers Coconut Rum and Dead Man’s Fingers Coffee Rum.
Lawrence Williamson, Managing Director at Halewood Australia, said: “Dead Man’s Fingers is on a mission to break free from the stereotypes and conventions usually associated with rum. This means no pirates, no parrots, and no palm trees.
"We’re passionate about doing things differently and we believe Australia is ready to come along for the ride!”
Dead Man’s Fingers original Spiced Rum is a two-year-old Caribbean base rum with Cornish soul, featuring distinct flavours like saffron cake, Pedro Ximenez ice cream, creamy caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and the brand’s signature subtle sweet undertones of orange.
A tropical variation of the brand’s original Spiced Rum; Dead Man’s Fingers Coconut Rum features elements of mango, raisins, runny caramel, coconut ice, a slight citrusy trace of lime peel, a whiff of vanilla and a dash of clove.
Dead Man’s Fingers Coffee Rum is another variation of the original, infused with heart-warming roasted coffee with characteristics of vanilla, raisins and chocolate orange, traces of clove and a good hit of cumin.
Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Rum is available from the end of October in Liquorland, First Choice Liquor, Vintage Cellars, and select independent off and on trade accounts across the nation at the RRP of $48.99 with a 40% ABV.
