Diageo is bringing World Class Community Week to Australia on May 13. The digital initiative is designed to inspire, engage and support the bartending and hospitality trade community.
Community Week joins the bartending community together through a series of inspirational virtual programs, including expert business tips, masterclass tutorials and panel discussions with the industry’s best.
The initiative is led by Diageo Reserve and World Class Global Cocktailian Lauren Mote, alongside some of the industry’s finest drinks talent, such as Tim Phillips-Johansson (Bulletin Place).
The sessions are designed to cover a range of relevant topics, from tutored tasting sessions to creating bespoke cocktails at home through enhanced World Class Studios “at home” sessions, and discussing how bartenders can have a positive impact around the world through ‘the power of community’. Some sessions will also share aspirational stories and ideas through virtual happy hours and pub quizzes. Following each seminar, the audience has a chance to put questions to the industry gurus through a live online Q&A (via Zoom).
The first Australian session is at 5pm on May 13 and features Ervin Trykowski - Global Ambassador, Alan Mulvhil – Roe & Co, and Brooke Hayman (Whisky & Alement) discussing "The Future Of Whisky".
At 7pm, Andrea Gualdi (World Class winner), Luke Ashton (Wills), Evan Stroeve (Bulletin Place) and Dennis Tamse (Ketel One Vodka) will explore "The Power Of Community ".
