Chapel Hill 50th anniversary and new flagship launch event
Last week, Chapel Hill hosted an exclusive dinner and wine tasting event at Sydney’s Hinchcliff House to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The event doubled as a chance for Chapel Hill to publicly launch its new flagship wine, The Devil Shiraz.
The Devil Shiraz will be replacing the Vicar as Chapel Hill's most premium offering. In addition to showcasing the new product, the dinner also stood as a testament to the Vicar, which will remain an important part of Chapel Hill's Icon Series.
To commemorate the changing of the guards, attendees were served a selection of Chapel Hill wines from the 2024 Icon Release and select back vintages. This included the Chapel Hill Reserve 1990, the Chapel Hill Vicar 2008 and the Chapel Hill Vicar 2021.
The event, which was emceed by Tyson Stelzer, featured speeches from Chief Winemaker Michael Fargos, Senior Viticulturist Rachel Steer, and Founder Tom Nelson.
Chapel Hill The Devil Shiraz 2020 is available now at $180 per bottle.
