SouthTrade International has appointed award-winning bartender Trish Brew as the first Australian Brand Ambassador for Fever-Tree.

Fever-Tree Senior Brand Manager Laura Pashby said: “Trish is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the drinks industry having worked at one of Australia’s most renowned gin bars, Gin Palace, for the last eight years as Bar Manager and also being named 2018 TimeOut Melbourne Bartender of the Year and 2018 Australian Bartender Bar Manager of the Year.

"We’re delighted to have someone of Trish’s pedigree and ambition driving Fever-Tree even further in Australia.”

The role will see Brew head up trade and distillery relations and advocacy, and consumer events, communicating the role and importance the mixer plays in cocktails and mixed drinks.

“I have always loved Fever-Tree and working at Gin Palace has given me the experience and tools to step into this new role,” said Brew.

“It’s a huge opportunity and I’m looking forward to challenging myself and working with passionate people all over the country to educate and inspire them to consider the mixer.”

Brew officially commences in the role this week and one of her first priorities will be to lead Fever-Tree's new dark spirit mixing campaign, which includes the launch of two new products, Spiced Orange Ginger Ale and Smoky Ginger Ale, which will be available from July.

Fever-Tree Asia Pacific Brand Director Andy Gaunt added: “We’re excited to have Trish on board as a Brand Ambassador to continue telling our brand story, to work closely with distillers across the country, and educate the trade and our consumers on why a quality mixer is just as important as a quality spirit.

"Trish brings a lot of experience and knowledge and we’re looking forward to the potential this role gives us, to continue sharing our story and passion for making delicious drinks."
