Tequila Herradura has unveiled the fourth release from its ‘house’ series, Coleccion de la Casa, Reserva 2015.

The new tequila, Directo de Alambique, has been crafted from 100 per cent blue agave and fermented with natural yeast. In addition, Master Distiller Maria Teresa Lara chose to bottle this tequila without any prior barrel ageing to retain fresh tequila flavour; Directo de Alambique translating to “Direct from the Still”.

The result is a crystal-clear tequila with robust notes of sweet agave, green pepper, citrus and a hint of herb and spice. Taken together, these notes provide a smooth, complex and prolonged presence. Herradura’s Master Taster, Ruben Aceves, says this is one of his favourite expressions.

Brown-Forman Australia will be distributing the new release from January exclusively to the on-premise channel. Directo de Alambique is expected to retail for $87 approx. and will be followed by a Port Cask, which will be available in June 2016.
