Casa Merida transforms into Hacienda Patrón this July
Authentic Mayan eatery Casa Merida has launched Hacienda Patrón with a slew of events to take place throughout July, including Tulum inspired bottomless fiestas, tequila tastings, taco Tuesdays and more at the Potts Point venue.
The exclusive takeover will run across different days with multiple offerings including:
- Tuesdays from 5.00pm -10.00pm – Two for one tacos with half price Patrón margaritas and palomas
- Thursdays from 5.00pm-10.00pm - Tequila tastings paired with limited edition Yucatan inspired dishes
- Fridays and Saturdays from noon until midnight - Hacienda Patrón Bottomless Fiesta
The Hacienda Patrón Bottomless Fiesta will run all day and night with diners enjoying two hours of Patrón margaritas, Patrón palomas, beers and sparkling wine. Guests will also be treated to an exclusive menu all the way from Mexican import Chef Luis Águilar from Safari Tulum.
Mr Águilar has worked around the world, from New York to Spain, the Bahamas to New Zealand, before returning home to the Caribbean coast. Keeping on theme, every fiesta will feature Latin and world music from the likes of virtuoso Mexican singer, dancer and harpist Victor Valdes, soul and salsa aficionado Richard Valdez and more.
Patrón Tequila Commercial Manager Andrew Woods reiterates “Patrón Tequila is proud to partner with Sydney’s leading Mexican restaurant group – Milpa Collective. Our two brands have incredible synergies when it comes to Mexican authenticity, a focus on sustainability and using only the very best ingredients to produce an amazing experience. Our upcoming Hacienda Patrón experience at Casa Merida will showcase the best of Tulum, one of Mexico’s iconic Summer destinations. Don’t miss these two Mexican icons coming together!”
A part of Milpa Collective, Casa Merida draws its inspiration from the city of Mérida – its palatial elegance and Mayan ancestry - and showcases traditional Mayan cuisine while utilising the best in local produce. The venue sits alongside Milpa Collective’s eight other outposts - Santa Caterina, Londres 126, Calita, Carbon, Taqiza, Sonora and La Palma in Sydney and Mexico City based MUX.
Milpa Collective co-founder Pablo Vargas says, “We want to showcase the enigmatic cuisine of the state of Yucatan in the best setting for it in Sydney, Casa Merida. We’re going to have lavish parties that will transport you to the Mexican hip-beach town of Tulum, with live music, DJ’s and performances. Food by chef Luis Aguilar from Safari Tulum and premium Patrón Tequila will set the night for the best Mexican experience in town!”
Hacienda Patrón will take place at Casa Merida throughout July at 1/5 Kellett St, Potts Point 2011. Bookings recommended.
