Espolòn Afterlife ‘To The Bone’ bartending competition
Last night, Campari Australia hosted the national finals of its Espolòn Afterlife ‘to the Bone’ cocktail competition at Kiln, Level 18 Ace Hotel, Sydney.
Included among the finalists were Black Pearl’s Ben Hardy, Maker’s Georgia Gresham, Rude Boy’s Jack Turner, El Primo Sanchez’ Jarah Retana, Caretaker’s Cottage’s Kitty Gardner and Kuro Bar & Dining’s Kyoka Ogawa.
The event, which was free to enter for all Australian bartenders, awarded a $10,000 cash prize to overall winner Kitty Gardner for her drink Rebel Yell.
Additionally, Jarah Retana was named as recipient of the People's Choice Award, as voted by the crowd on the night.
The six finalists were selected out of hundreds of entrants from around Australia. To enter into the comp, bartenders needed to create an original cocktail championing any of the three Espolòn Tequila expressions available in Australia: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo.
