Taylors Wines launches ‘Summer House of Shiraz’
The Taylors Wines Summer House of Shiraz was unveiled last week with an array of VIP guests on hand, including Samantha Harris, Darren McMullen, Renae Ayris, Melissa Lucarelli and Larissa Takchi.
Following on from the success of last year’s Cellar Door at Sea, Clare Valley’s Taylors Wines continued its celebration of enjoying perfectly chilled reds during summer.
Guests learned that a Pinot Noir is best served at around 12-14C, while a Tempranillo blossoms at 14-16C and Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz are perfectly poured at 16-18C.
Summer House Chef and 2015 My Kitchen Rules winner Will Stewart prepared a selection of summer dishes to accompany the wines.
The celebrations continued until Sunday, with Taylors Wines welcoming guests to a series of tasting sessions at a stunning waterfront Point Piper home.
Attendees were transferred by private water taxi from Rose Bay to the exclusive Point Piper address, where once ashore, the 90-minute immersive experience commenced as guests explore various red varieties chilled to their optimal temperature.
Drinks Trade attended an afternoon session of Taylors Wines Summer House of Shiraz and choose a Tempranillo to sip while enjoying the harbourside ambience. It was also a fascinating opportunity to chat to chief winemaker Mitchell Taylor about his beloved wines.
