Tia Maria Bar @ Moonlight Cinema
Tia Maria is hosting pop-up espresso martini bars at Moonlight Cinema venues across Australia and it celebrated the launch last night with a VIP screening of Love Actually.
The Tia Maria Bar served the crowd favourite Tia Espresso Martini, the Tia Popcorn Frappe and Tia and Tonic to media and celebrity guests in Sydney's Centennial Parklands.
Among the celebrity guests were singers Jess and Matt, who have just released their new single 'Know About You', loved-up couple Tim Dormer and Ash Toweel, and reality TV stars Lisa Clark, Brittany Hockley and Sogand Mohtat. Recently married Renae Ayris was also there gushing about her stunning Hunter Valley wedding to celebrity personal trainer Andrew Pap.
After sipping cocktails at the bar, guests moved to sit in ‘Gold Grass’ with Tia Maria blankets on hand to ward off the cool night air. Guests in Gold Grass can order coffee cocktails to be delivered directly to their bean beds.
The screening of Love Actually was a sell-out, with other Christmas movies including Home Alone, Elf and Die Hard and Last Christmas coming up.
This year’s Moonlight Cinema program includes new releases such as The Joker, Ford v Ferrari, and the new J.Lo comedy Hustlers.
The original Espresso Martini was invented in the early 80’s in London by Dick Bradsell. According to legend, a supermodel walked into his bar and asked for something that would “wake her up and mess her up,” and so the Espresso Martini was born.
Tia Maria will be serving up signature cocktails at the Moonlight Cinema in Sydney (Centennial Parklands), Brisbane (Roma Street Parkland), Melbourne (Royal Botanic Gardens), Adelaide (Royal Botanic Gardens) and Perth (Kings Park) over the next few months.
