The Liquor Barons 2024 National Conference wrapped up on Wednesday evening, with more than 100 members and suppliers celebrating a successful conference at The Henry Jones Hotel in Hobart.

The conference had opened on Sunday evening with welcome drinks at The Waterline Restaurant and a behind the scenes chat with ex-Australian cricket captain, Tim Paine, and closed with a hilarious set from celebrity comedian Dave Hughes.

Sandwiched between two exceptional talents was a deep dive into Tasmanian Food and Beverage, business sessions on group performance and future marketing, sessions on resilience, and site visits to Port Arthur, Pooley Wines, Mona Art Gallery, and Lark Distillery.

In closing the conference, Chris O’Brien, Liquor Barons General Manager said: “I’m confident that as a group, we are delivering performance and we are in a good position to face the challenges ahead. We are consistently outperforming not only the state, but also across the country and we should be very proud of that".

O’Brien added: “It’s outstanding to have so many stores represented, taking the opportunity to reconnect and enjoy everything Tasmania has to offer. I trust you’ve had a great conference and I look forward to welcoming you all to our international conference in Dubai and Scotland next year.”

For a full conference wrap look out for the Winter edition of Drinks Trade reaching your stores and offices next month.
