McLaren Vale has a new taphouse to rival the best restaurants in the area.
Sitting high above the Beresford Homestead is McLaren Vale’s latest venue, Vale Brewing Taphouse; a tasting room, micro-brewery and restaurant that boasts views across Blewitt Springs.
The Taphouse is a state-of-the-art micro-brewing facility, and high-quality restaurant wrapped into one. It’s designed and built to the highest quality specifications – a destination that impresses as soon as you step inside.
The venue offers a private function room partitioned with kegs in the shape of the brewery’s logo, a high-end restaurant, and the option of just popping in to try the range of craft beers and bar food. Book into the restaurant however and you’re in for a treat. The “Feed Me” option, for example, will keep you entertained for a couple of hours as multiple courses are presented in a share format focused on local produce and option of tasting paddles alongside. The food is ‘star worthy’ and while there’s some newly opened creases to be ironed out, this is a venue that is well positioned to hit the ground running this summer.
Of course, Vale Brewing isn’t a new business, it was acquired by the Bickfords Group in 2017, the South Australian company that owns Beresford and award winning 23rd Street Distillery, among others. There’s an $11 million investment behind the Taphouse which is obvious in the quality of the construction. This is a landmark project for the region. The site is already proving popular as a wedding facility and as a destination for visitors to the Vale, in no small part due to the quality local produce, stunning views and craft beers made onsite.
And for those that enjoy it a little too much, there’s accommodation too.
