Next month when the World Class Cocktail Festival comes to Sydney, international chef, LA legend and pioneer of the global food truck movement, Roy Choi will be coming along as part of the Don Julio Food Truck Fiesta.

Mr Choi will join forces with local pioneer of the food truck movement, Raph Rashid, to create a limited edition Kogi x Taco Truck menu alongside ice cold Don Julio margaritas by El Loco, available only during World Class Cocktail Festival 2022.

Mr Choi says, "I freakin’ love Australia. The food and drink scene is one of the most inventive and fun that I've ever experienced. That is why I'm so excited to be able to travel across the ocean once again to Oz for the Don Julio Food Truck Fiesta at the World Class Cocktail Festival! I'm honored and think everyone will enjoy the collab with Raph and his team, and I can’t wait to explore Sydney for the first time while I’m in town,”

Best known globally as co-host of Netflix series 'The Chef Show' with Jon Favreau, Mr Choi became renowned for creating the Korean taco and reinventing street food along the way. He decided to leave behind fine dining to feed the city he loved which led him to open restaurants Best Friend, Locol, A Frame, Chego and Koreatown.

The announcement sees Choi added to an already packed food truck festival program featuring Australia's Beatbox Kitchen (Melbourne) and Ricos Tacos (Sydney) served up with ice cold Don Julio margaritas by El Loco who will curate the drinks menu.

You can catch Roy Choi by purchasing a $25 ticket to the Don Julio Food Truck Fiesta on 15, 16 or 17 September.

Alongside the announcement of Roy Choi comes a swathe of exciting new events added to the World Class Cocktail Festival programming, including an all-star female line-up at Shell House hosted by The Singleton and Australia’s own Danielle Alvarez as she takes over for a one-night-only culinary and cocktail journey.
