Mr. Black Spirits Co is set to hold the world’s first espresso martini festival later this year. Famous for having one of the best coffee cultures in the world, Melbourne has fittingly been chosen to host the festival on November 5th.

Hundreds of attendees are expected to join the celebration of the quintessential cocktail at Melbourne’s Meat Market. Coffee and liqueur lovers alike are welcome, with some of Australia’s best specialty coffee roasters, bars and coffee shops to be showcased.

Joining in the caffeinated festivities will be some of Australia’s top coffee industry suppliers, including MILKLAB, Campos Coffee, Rushmore Coffee, The Kind Coffee Co, Beat Coffee as well as Ketel One and Two Birds Brewing.

Mr. Black founder Tom Baker said, “We know the people of Melbourne have a love affair with coffee and the espresso martini is now one of the highest selling cocktails on lists everywhere. So we thought, why not come together to celebrate this shared love with the perfect pairing of coffee and booze.

“Making a good espresso martini is not a hard task – It’s just three simple ingredients but our festival is a celebration of great drinks: espresso from leading specialty roasters, high-quality spirits, and of course the world’s best coffee liquor. We’re excited to get all our coffee and liquor friends in one place and have a cheeky coffee party.”

The festival will run from 2-10pm, with plenty of food trucks, coffee pong and live music also on show. Industry and coffee professionals can sign up for free entry to the festival, while public entry is $25 inclusive of a Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur shaken serve and free tastings.
