Coca-Cola Amatil's South Pacific division, Paradise Beverages Fiji, has appointed Sudha Deo as its new Head of Operations.
Deo replaces Mike Spencer, who earlier this year was appointed General Manager of Paradise Beverages.
Paradise Beverages now has two out of eight leadership team positions occupied by women.
“Paradise Beverages has a fantastic and inclusive culture, it’s one of the key reasons we have such a diverse but closely knit community within our company.
“I couldn’t ask for a better team to be a part of, and I’m looking forward to this opportunity to play my part in leading this business to even greater heights,” said Deo.
Spencer is excited that another woman has joined leadership team, with Rowena Taito as the Head of Marketing and NPD.
“On behalf of the Paradise Beverages Executive Team, I’m very excited to welcome Sudha to our leadership team.
“Sudha brings with her some 20 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry, including significant knowledge and respect from within the Paradise business, where she has spent the past decade working in a number of leadership roles”, he said.
Indeed, Deo has extensive experience in the drinks industry, with a degree in Biotechnology, an MBA and a Diploma in Brewing and is currently studying for a Masters in Brewing.
Prior to her role as Head of Operations, Deo occupied the role of Production & Site Manager of the Suva Brewery for Paradise Beverages.
“Sudha lead our Suva Brewery through its recent transformation to become a world-class brewery.
“[She] has demonstrated excellence in the management of our significant capital expenditure programs and has been responsible for improving product quality to export standards and reducing costs, and all whilst maintaining the company’s uncompromising commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of our people,” Spencer adds.
