Distilled in a traditionally whiskey-dominated area, Tulchan Gin is a Speyside creation inspired by the native botanicals found along the River Spey.
Taking its name from Tulchan Estate, well known as a fishing hub and sometime Royal retreat, the small-batch gin has been crafted to appeal to gin lovers and whisky drinkers alike.
Kara Anderson, Global Brand Lead at Tulchan Gin, said the team is excited to bring a little bit of Scotland to the rest of the world.
“We are delighted to bring a slice of our wondrous estate to Australia. Distilled in Speyside, in the heart of whisky country, we’re looking forward to introducing Tulchan Gin to whisky drinkers as well as gin lovers throughout the world,” she said.
A full-bodied, juniper-forward, London Dry gin, Tulchan Gin features 14 fragrant botanicals, including sloe berries, elderflower and blackberry leaves, as well as a surprising asparagus note which adds a bitter edge and long finish.
True to its Highland roots, the bottle features Tuchlan’s own tartan, an illustration of longtime Estate character, The Grouse Piper playing his bagpipes, and is topped with a wooden cork stopper stamped with a Scottish thistle.
Surrounded by 22,000 acres of moors, lochs and glens, Tulchan Estate captures the essence of Scotland itself, as does the gin that carries its name. The new release has won accolades around the world since its release, including a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition and a Double Gold at the International Spirit Competition.
To celebrate Tulchan Gin arriving on Australian shores, The Roosevelt in Potts Point, Sydney, will offer a Scottish-inspired, Tulchan tasting menu until June 26 2023.
