Construction commenced last month on Sydney's first BrewDog venue which is being built in South Eveleigh in Sydney's inner-city with plans to open the venue before the end of the year.

The $3.2 million development is being built in partnership with Australian Venue Co . The two business have also partnered on BrewDog Pentridge in Melbourne which is currently under construction.

BrewDog South Eveleigh will be housed in an old locomotive workshop which is big enough to accommodate 720 patrons inside and 190 outside, across a large indoor dining space, bar and beer garden. Designed by Studio Y architects, the bar will be installed around the original workshop machinery collection on display in the space to create an immersive and unique experience for customers.

There will be 40 brews on tap, including a lineup of BrewDog draught beers alongside guest beer tap takeovers and collaborations with local breweries.

Australian Venue Co NSW State Manager Evan Gargaro said, “We’re so excited to bring ‘The Dog’ to Sydney! The space is truly incredible, we’re thrilled to be part of the next chapter of the historic South Eveleigh precinct.  The huge beer garden is going to be a hit, we can’t wait to open this venue just in time for the Sydney summer.”

John Fairbairn, Portfolio Manager for Mirvac, said, “The South Eveleigh precinct is now a thriving tech and innovation hub, a living museum of Australia’s Industrial Revolution and home to great public community spaces. BrewDog’s new venue is going to be the ultimate final addition to our heritage Locomotive Workshop, complementing the exciting offering of eateries and retail, which opened last year. "
