Since COVID-19, Prosecco sales have surged as consumers search for indulgent yet affordable luxuries to enjoy at home.
Prosecco is the fastest growing white wine grape in Australia and Santa Margherita’s Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene, authentically Italian and modestly priced, is perfect for any occasion. This celebrated bubbly, with aromas of ripe pineapples, peaches and golden apples, pairs well with everything from seafood to rich carbonara and rosemary beef.
Santa Margherita Wines began in 1935 on abandoned land in the countryside of Italy’s Veneto region. Today, their varietals are still richly steeped in tradition and are celebrated for their regional character. Santa Margherita’s mission is to make the pairing of wine and food an even more engaging experience, through continuously exploring new routes in taste and in the joy of wine.
Crafted from luscious, aromatic Glera grapes, Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene is a celebration in a bottle and a benchmark of quality. Crisp, clean, sweet, and lively, it pairs with everything from rich carbonara to rosemary beef filet. A go-to for any day of the week.
Tasting notes
A spumante with extraordinary fine and persistent bubbles, revealing crisp scents of white-fleshed fruits, acacia and peach blossom. Joyous and playful on the palate, the bubbles beat out the rhythm while the savoury freshness carriers the lasting finish which is full of the fragrance of small yellow flowers and the juiciness of pear and peach.
There are two sizes available. Santa Margherita Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene 750ml – RRP $26.00 and Santa Margherita Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene 375ml – RRP $15.99. Both are available at Dan Murphy’s and BWS nationally.
