Devil’s Corner – east-coast Tasmania’s cool-climate wine specialists and the makers of Australia’s favourite Pinot Noir – has launched its new Pinot Noir Rosé.
Ruby blush in colour, ultra-smooth, with bright floral notes, a hint of watermelon and subtle spice, the Pinot Noir Rosé is fruit-driven, delicate and dry.
Devil’s Corner winemaker Tom Wallace says there is real excitement around releasing a Rosé that truly reflects the place in which it was produced.
“Tasmania is known for being one of the best places to grow Pinot Noir but we’re also at the mercy of nature in our wild little corner. Thankfully, we’ve learned to lean into the harsh Tassie elements and harness them, not fight them, to create our first-ever Pinot Noir Rosé that showcases both the wild and the tame and reflects who we are: bold in taste yet humble in character,” he said.
Located along Tasmania’s east coast, Devil’s Corner is home to the wild. Created between Devil’s Corner and the deep blue sea. At its heart is Pinot Noir. Year-round, the Devil’s Corner team attempts to tame one of the most difficult grapes in the world in one of the wildest environments on earth.
Uniquely Tasmanian, from a place unlike anywhere else, this racy Rosé is super fresh and easy drinking – the perfect accompaniment to any spring/summer activity including outdoor picnics, beach escapes, weekend getaways, spring racing festivities and Christmas parties.
Best served well chilled and consumed when it’s young and vibrant, the Devil’s Corner Pinot Noir Rosé complements a wide range of seafood dishes especially oysters and sashimi. For something more casual, try it with a charcuterie board and lighter cheeses like camembert or brie.
The Devil’s Corner Pinot Noir Rosé is available online for for $24 per bottle.
