Besserat De Bellefon Cuvee Bleu Brut is a signature of the Champagne House’s Simplicité line, resulting from Besserat de Bellefon’s specific method of Champagne making maintained by the house since 1930: the absence of malolactic fermentation is a distinctive feature of the Bleu Brut.

By adding less “liqueur de tirage” (a mix of sugar, yeast and must) at the time of bottling, and keeping the wine under lower-than-normal pressure under cork, this results in a softer effervescence.

A blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir the Bleu Brut - awarded the Gold Medal at the Champagne and Sparkling World Championships in 2019 - presents a coppery, straw yellow and luminous aspect.

Cellarmaster Cédric Thiébault sources the grapes from the best villages of Champagne and describes the Champagne as having “dazzling clarity” while still brimming with fruit, spices, and immense energy.

“Bleu Brut shimmers with luminous coppery highlights and offers magnificent depth. A timeless signature. A first step into the world of BB.”
- Cédric Thiébault Cellarmaster, Champagne Besserat de Bellefon.
