ALH Group won the Group Venue Operator Award at the AHA Hospitality Awards for Excellence held in front of a 1200 strong crowd at Crown Perth earlier this week. Newcomer, The Beaufort in Highgate was named Perth’s Best Hospitality Venue. It also won the award for Best Newcomer and The Lion Bar Presentation and Service Award.
Treendale Farm Hotel won Western Australia’s Best Regional Hospitality Venue for the second year running as well as the Family Dining and Retail Bottleshop Awards. Il Lido Italian Canteen, Cottesloe won the Wine List Award (It also won the Australian Wine List of the Year – Australia’s Choice – earlier this year.) While our friends at Gage Roads Brewery Co in Fremantle won best outdoor area award and the Boutique Brewery Award went to Bailey Brewing Co, Henley Brook.
AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the awards provided an important opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary hospitality offering found across Perth and regional WA.
“This is the first time in three years we can celebrate WA’s hospitality venues and their dedicated staff, with the pandemic firmly in the rear-view mirror,” Mr Woods said.
“We are now in an envious position where WA’s hospitality industry has not just survived the pandemic, it is in a strong position and with a number of new, high-quality venues.”
Woods said that there are now more than 105K people working in WA’s hospitality industry which is 10 per cent more than leading into the pandemic.
