Alcohol Beverages Australia (ABA) will be hosting the inaugural Celebration of Industry Dinner this August. The event, to be held in the Great Hall of Parliament House, Canberra, will be a celebration of the history and constant innovations of the alcohol beverages industry.

The dinner will give industry specialists, from small business operators to senior executives of Australia’s most established international brands, the opportunity to learn about the newest consumer trends changing the way Australian’s appreciate and consume alcohol.

The night will include a panel discussion with the brightest, up-and-coming stars in beer, wine, spirits and the retailing sector, hosted by journalist Annabelle Crabb. There will also be entertainment from trumpeter James Morrison and jazz vocalist Olivia Chindamo.

“The dinner is an exciting opportunity for all members of the industry to join with ABA members to celebrate the fact that Australia’s drinking culture and habits are changing for the better, and this very large and important industry is getting organised and working together on common objectives,” said Alcohol Beverages Australia’s executive director Fergus Taylor.

“The industry not only provides drinks, entertainment, and important community gathering points that people use every day to relax, celebrate and socialise, but, importantly, also jobs for more than 400,000 Australians, the foundations of which underpin much of Australia’s regional tourism destinations and much-needed financial support to more than 58,000 community groups across Australia.”

Alcohol Beverages Australia is the leading industry body showcasing the positive social, cultural and economic contribution of alcohol beverages in Australia.
