Angullong has expanded its Angullong A Range with the addition of a sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio from its 2014 vintage.

The A Range is Angullong’s core range of wines and offers easy drinking, fresh, fruit driven wines, which aim to appeal to the discerning value-conscious consumer. The wines in this range are estate grown on Angullong’s vineyards, which sit on the southern slopes of Mount Canobolas, roughly 35 kilometres south of Orange.

“Both of these wines are made as expressions of the region”, Angullong’s General Manager and Manager of Sales and Marketing, Ben Crossing said. “We pick several different fruit parcels from across the vineyards, capturing different flavour profiles we want to see in the finished wine. They are picked in the cool of the night, fermented in stainless steel fermenters and bottled soon after, with the objective of capturing the fresh, crisp varietal fruit flavours.”

The 2014 sauvignon blanc displays vibrant cool climate flavours of citrus and passion fruit, as well as lovely length, natural acidity and balance. Similarly, the pinot gris shows cool climate flavours of pear and apple flesh, with linear acidity and a fresh, crisp finish.

Angullong’s A Range also comprises of a sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, verdelho, chardonnay, shiraz and cabernet merlot.
