Sydney distillery, Archie Rose Distilling Co. has added ten to its team to support its continued strong growth. New hires in the production team include: Tim Hosken as distillery manager, Alex Loudon as distiller, Angus MacGregor as blender and Mariel Santiago and Jed Arthur as cellar hands.
In the Marketing Team Simon Flood joins as trade marketing manager and Keira Scurry as marketing coordinator. Stewart Graham joins as national account manager in Sales and then Lauren Thomas and Jami Irwin join the Hospitality Team as events coordinator and experience host.
The Archie Rose team now numbers over 55 full and part time staff, spanning five teams including Production, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Hospitality including the Archie Rose Bar & Cellar Door in Rosebery, Sydney.

With a degree in Chemical Engineering, Tim Hosken is a distiller and engineer with a background in research, design engineering and plant operations. He joins Archie Rose as distillery manager bringing a wealth of distilling experience to the role, having previously worked as production Engineer and Distiller at Whipper Snapper Distillery in Perth, he was one of the founding members of Perth's first Urban Distillery and was Head Distiller for the design and business development of Sydney Rum Distillery. Tim is also an Adjunct Associate Lecturer for the Chemical Engineering department at the University of New South Wales and is a member of Locally Crafted, a consultancy supporting the craft food and beverage industry.
Alex Loudon joins Archie Rose in the role of distiller. A doctor of nanomaterial/quantum chemistry, having finished a PhD in Trinity College Dublin in 2017, Alex started Loudons Brewery in 2017 with his father before expanding into distilling with the foundation of Glendree Distillery in 2019. With a passion for sustainability, his was the only facility in Ireland running entirely off rainwater for water supply - Alex is inspired by Archie Rose’s commitment to meaningful innovation.
Simon Flood has a passion for innovation and driving culture, so is the perfect fit for Archie Rose Trade Marketing Manager. He has delivered marketing campaigns over the past 13 years for major global brands including Coca-Cola, Puma and Sony and major liquor brands such as Diageo, Moët Hennessey and BWS. Keira Scurry also joins as Marketing Coordinator.
Joining the sales team is Stewart Graham as National Accounts Manager. With a background in commerce and accounting, Stewart’s interest in the wine industry led him to commercial marketing roles at Fine Wine Partners and Bacardi Martini Australia. He will work across Archie Rose’s domestic and duty-free channels.
Angus MacGregor joins the production team as Blender to support the ever growing blending and spirit QA/QC requirements, while Jed Arthur joins as Cellar Hand as does Mariel Santiago after an internal move from working as bartender at the Archie Rose Bar.
With the expansion of Archie Rose’s bar at its Rosebery site to the previous distillery space next door, Jami Irwin (from Disney in the US) has been appointed as Experience Host to support the 10,000+ visitors that come through the Archie Rose door, while Lauren Thomas, ex Live Nation, joins the now 3 strong events team to support the strong growth in events post COVID-19.
