Australian Cocktail Month (ACM) returns in May and tickets are now on sale.
There are close to 150 bars participating in the national event to champion bars and bartenders in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Geelong, Gold Coast, Hobart, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and Wollongong.
The monthly event is curated to showcase cocktails, spirits, bartenders and the venues who bring life and vibrancy to our cities across Australia.
Founded by industry figure Penny Sippe, she has managed to bring a truckload of supporters on board again this year including local distillers like Archie Rose, Brix, Farmer’s Wife, Feels Botanicals, Four Pillars, Great Ocean Road, Hickson Road, Idle Hour, Karu, Milton Rum, Morris Whisky, Mr Black, Needle & Pin, Poor Tom’s, Prohibition Liquor Co, Regal Rogue, Saint Felix, Starward and West Winds on board for bartenders to work with as well as many international favourites from the Bacardi Martini stable and others.
Some of the participating venues include:
- Sydney: Jangling Jacks, Hickson House, Apollonia, Sammy Jnr & Jolene’s
- Melbourne: Black Pearl, Lover, Caretakers Cottage, Nick & Nora’s and The Everleigh
- Brisbane: The Gresham, Savile Row, Death and Taxes, Blackbird and Frog’s Hollow Saloon
- Adelaide: Maybe Mae, Hains & Co, Alfred’s Bar, Torino and Hennessy Rooftop Bar
Remaining capital cities and major regional centres are also on board with six bars in Canberra, Darwin, Geelong, Gold Coast, Hobart, Newcastle, Perth and Wollongong jumping on board the initiative.
The $20 (plus booking fee) ticket is an access pass to a special menu of cocktails at participating venues throughout throughout the mont of May.
Cocktails are priced at $14, and non-alcoholic options at $10. Tickets are on sale here.
