Australian Vintage have forged a partnership with Bordeaux's long-standing wine merchant, Barton & Guestier, to import Rosabel, a dry rosé wine from the Languedoc Roussillon region in southern France.
General Manager of Australian Vintage, Jeff Howlett said, “Light and fresh rosés are the number one trend in terms of wine style in Australia right now, accounting for 86 per cent of the category* with a growth rate of 22 per cent*. Its popularity shows no sign of slowing. We were very impressed with B&G’s Rosabel and we’re excited to expand its footprint here in Australia,” he said.
Rosabel dry rosé is well-suited to the Australian lifestyle. A blend of syrah and grenache, Rosabel’s expressive nose reveals ripe red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry and the palate is smooth and fresh, leaving a long and fruity aftertaste.
Its fresh and crisp flavours and appearance make it the perfect apéritif, but also easily paired with a range of food including grilled meats, everyday salads, fish, pizzas, and romantic desserts. The ideal partner to moments shared with friends.
“We are absolutely delighted to team up with Australian Vintage for the distribution of Rosabel in Australia. With its charming pale pink colour and a very aromatic profile coming from South of France (Syrah and Grenache blend), Rosabel has already received incredible feedback. We are very excited for this launch and this new partnership with AV,” says Guillaume Bladocha, Export Director at B&G.
Founded in 1725, Barton & Guestier (B&G) is the oldest wine merchant in Bordeaux. Since then, B&G has developed a premium brand strategy based on AOC and varietal wines from the main French wine growing regions, including Bordeaux, Provence, Rhône Valley and Languedoc and is sold in 130 countries. The success of B&G is based on a policy of a flawless quality for its wines, to please wine lovers around the world. B&G wines were the first French wines to ever land in Australia, in 1837, when Didier Numa Joubert, a B&G employee, arrived in Sydney in 1837 after a long trip through seas.
Rosabel is available exclusively from independents and on-premise.
