drinks trade magazine has surveyed its readers to compile the list of Australia's Top 5 Whisky & Bourbon Bottle Shops and it's a corker ... or should we say a screw cap?

The magazine asked readers to nominate the go-to place to enjoy these spirits. 

It's the first time bottle shops have been included in the whisky and bourbon call out, with the awards previously focussing on whisky and bourbon bars only.

The criteria was that the finalists have a strong knowledge of the category, excellent customer service, have contributed to category growth through industry and consumer interaction, has an excellent range, a comfortable environment and a great fit-out.

The winners were:

Sea Breeze Cellars, Dromana, Victoria

Casa De Vinos, Port Melbourne, Victoria
