Australian Vintage Limited has appointed InnoVint as its vineyard and winery management software provider. The partnership is intended to advance AVL’s viticulture and wine production operations, says CIO at AVL, Josh Gibbons, as well as unlocking innovative pathways for the business.
Gibbons says the software will enable AVL to innovate and stay ahead of consumer demands, both essential components to the business's success.
“We’ve done this in the low-to-no alcohol wine category with our best-selling McGuigan Zero range as well as the sustainable spirits category, launching our drinks ranges in May this year.
“As for our winemaking, InnoVint will help Australian Vintage streamline our operations from top-to-bottom, budbreak to bottle, giving our team time to experiment with new methods and ideas that can then be tracked and quantified,” said Gibbons.
Importantly, the system is paperless and aligned with AVL’s ESG guided framework released earlier this year and including the goal of reaching carbon zero in 2040.
“InnoVint allows us to move beyond traditional spreadsheets into an intuitive, real-time, mobile software option in the palm of our hand. The platform offers tools to fully digitize data input and storage, meaning less manual tracking making our teams more efficient,” he says.
InnoVint services 5000 winemakers globally and was created in 2013 by Ashley Leonard, an experienced winemaker and technology expert based in the US.
“We’re thrilled to find such an innovative, sustainability-focused wine partner to enhance our global enterprise business. We both have a deep passion and enthusiasm for the value great technology can bring to winery efficiency, quality management, and profitability,” says Leonard.
AVL says that the inventory management tools within InnoVint will allow the business to track more effectively according to lots, tanks, barrels and other vessels by scanning QR codes.
“This provides access to information such as laboratory results, vessel contents and composition, lot history and open work orders and notes related to the vessel. The software also allows our wineries to create visual reports and dashboards using real-time data and gain greater visibility into the profit margins of individual wines,” says Gibbons.
InnoVint features modern cloud-based architecture, online/offline capability and extensive API integration.
