Bacardi is launching a second round of Bartender Advice sessions as part of its #RAISEYOURSPIRITS initiative, focusing on ‘Back to Work’ skills.

During the shutdown of venues around the country, the company's #RAISEYOURSPIRITS platform pledged to support the hospitality industry throughout the COVID-19 crisis via a three-pronged approach - offering bartender financial advice sessions to clarify government support initiatives, rallying and lobbying for more hospitality support from the government and providing venue vouchers for Bacardi staff and trade customers to ensure cash is in venues’ tills during COVID-19.

With a view to continuing to partner with the industry and upskill the hospitality community, National Brand Ambassador Peter Hollands will be joined by current and ex-bartenders to host sessions covering three topics:

Monday June 15, 4pm – Looking for Work in Hospo

Monday June 22, 4pm – How to Cost a Cocktail Menu

Monday June 29, 4pm – How to do a Tax Return

The #RAISEYOURSPIRITS sessions will be streamed live on Facebook, with the link provided on local bartender pages.

“Bacardi is a family company, and for us, business is personal," said Mahesh Madhavan, CEO of Bacardi Limited.

"We always say that love for our brands is built in bars, and now it is our turn to show them our love. We don’t have all the answers today on how best to help everywhere, but we are committed to do what we can to see our industry through this crisis.

"These may be the darkest of days for bars and restaurants, but I am certain that when we come out on the other side, people will emerge from isolation with a renewed zest to live life to the fullest and celebrate together with friends and family.”
