The Drinks Industry Show has announced the appointment of leading industry expert Ben Davidson as Events Curator for this year’s edition.

Davidson brings to the role nearly 20 years behind the bar and is regarded as one of Australia’s most accomplished drinks and cocktail professionals. Accolades include Cocktails World Cup Champion (2004) and Australian Bartender of the Year (2003, 2004).

Davidson was recently the Spirits Education Manager for Pernod Ricard Australia, a title he held for ten years. During this time, he received Ambassador of the Year and gained WST Trainer credential. Last year he was welcomed into the revered and exclusive Keepers of the Quaich Society for his ongoing and significant contribution to the Scotch whisky industry.

In 2015, Davidson launched his drinks consultancy business, Bespoke Drinks and he is currently also working as Drinks Curator for Hip Media, working across its titles, including drinks bulletin, drinks trade magazine.

Using his extensive knowledge of the drinks industry, Davidson will be responsible for driving senior level buyers to the show, as well as raising the event’s exposure and awareness across trade.

On the appointment, Davidson said, "I’m excited to be a part of the Drinks Industry Show in the capacity of Event Curator, helping to attract a diverse range of large and small Brands across all categories, to exhibit their products to the Drinks Industry professionals of Sydney and beyond.”
