Bacardi has announced the launch of Bombay Sapphire Limited Edition: English Estate – a gin inspired by the landscape surrounding the brand’s home in the English countryside.
The first in a series of limited edition product innovations due from the brand in the coming years, English Estate has been hand-crafted by the Master of Botanicals and the Master Distiller at the brand home Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire, United Kingdom.
The citrus notes of Bombay Sapphire have been delicately infused with three new botanicals in the limited edition London Dry Gin: Pennyroyal mint, Rosehip and toasted hazelnut.
Supported with a 360 global launch campaign, the limited edition will be available for 12 months only, and lands on shelf from July 2019.
Bombay Sapphire Master of Botanicals Ivano Tonutti said: “Each botanical in our gin is carefully balanced to create a smooth and complex taste and the new Bombay Sapphire English Estate is no different.
"Hand-selected from the English countryside and drawing creative inspiration from the Hampshire home of Bombay Sapphire, the additional botanicals produce a vibrant gin.
"Bursting with bright citrus notes and invigorated with mint, it provides a subtle taste elevation for gin lovers to enjoy.”
Two bespoke cocktails have been curated to showcase the new Bombay Sapphire limited edition: The Secret English Garden blends Bombay Sapphire English Estate with Fever-Tree ginger ale and cloudy apple juice - served long with lemon, apple, thyme and ice; while Bombay Sapphire English Estate Gin & Tonic is a single or double measure combined with Fever-Tree tonic, served over ice, garnished with mint and a lemon wedge.
Bombay Sapphire English Estate will be available in key bottleshops along with a limited exclusive release in award-winning Sydney bar The Barber Shop.
