Bombay Sapphire has announced the launch of BOMBAY & TONIC 10%, the world’s first-ever double-serve gin RTD.
BOMBAY & TONIC 10% follows the successful launch of the 4-pack BOMBAY & TONIC bottle in 2019, which sold 1.2 million bottles in nine months, and drove category growth, with 68% of consumers being new to gin.
Bacardi said the result meant consumers who purchased the BOMBAY & TONIC were six times more likely to then purchase a bottle of Bombay Sapphire.
BOMBAY & TONIC 10%, which is available in a 4-pack of cans, combines a double-serve of the brand’s London Dry Gin, balanced with tonic water, and is best enjoyed either straight from the can or poured over ice with a refreshing squeeze of lime.
Sarah Nichols, Marketing Director at Bacardi Martini Australia said: “As a category leader in premium gin, I am delighted to announce the latest addition to our growing portfolio.
"The development of BOMBAY & TONIC 10% took time for good reason, as we know our consumers expect only the very best from us, and we are extremely proud to say that we’ve created an RTD befitting to the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE name in terms of taste, quality, craft and ingredients.
"We look forward to shaking up the RTD category with a double strength option that our fans will love.”
The new double-serve BOMBAY & TONIC 10% also coincides with the release of the new BOMBAY & TONIC can 10 pack 5.4% ABV, with multipacks designed to appeal to party-goers and pantry stockers.
Available in retailers from mid-September, the BOMBAY & TONIC 10% ABV is available in a can 4-pack for $30, while the party serve BOMBAY & TONIC 5.4% ABV can 10-pack retails for $55.
