Brown-Forman has announced the appointment of Brad Madigan as Vice President, Managing Director for the company’s Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands (ANZPI) region. Madigan will be transitioning into Brown-Forman after more than 14 years within the Campari Group, including four years and five months as UK Managing Director and, most recently, one year and eight months as the Managing Director of New Zealand.
Madigan has been appointed to the position following an almost-three month search following Eveline Albarracin's promotion to Senior Vice President, Managing Director for Brown-Forman’s newly re-established APAC region. In his new role, Madigan will form a part of Albarracin’s leadership team, leading the ANZPI Leadership Team and playing a key role on the Asia Pacific Leadership Team.
“In addition to his commercial successes and business prowess, Brad is passionate about leadership and people development,” said Eveline Albarracin.
“He is a strategic thinker and an inspiring leader who has had extensive experience in building scalable, future-ready businesses. I’m thrilled to welcome him to Brown-Forman and wish him every success in his new role.”
Brad Madigan will mostly work from Brown-Forman’s Sydney office as Managing Director of ANZPI. Currently, approximately 150 of Brown-Forman's 5,700 employees are based in Australia.
Eveline Albarracin will relocate to Brown-Forman's Singapore office to start her new role as leader of Brown-Forman APAC. The re-formation of the APAC region marks a return to the Brown-Forman company structure in place prior to October 2013, where Brown-Forman's Asia Pacific region was restructured into ANZSEA (Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia region) and NA (North Asia). At the time, Executive Vice President Europe/Africa/Asia Pacific/Travel Retail said "these changes are being made to further strengthen our organisational focus and allocation of resources against our strategic priorities in this vast region.”
The changes to the ANZPI and APAC leadership teams also follow on from recent changes to Brown-Forman's global executive leadership team, which saw Diane Nguyen replace Kirsten Hawley as the new Chief People, Places, and Communications Officer. First announced mid June, this staff change came into effect in early August.
Brad Madigan will start his new role of Vice President, Managing Director of Brown-Forman’s ANZPI region on 25 November.
