On Tuesday at this intimate launch event, Rémy Martin revealed its 300th Anniversary Coupe to Australia. With only 6,724 bottles being released globally, only extremely limited quantities of the Cognac will be made available to Australian consumers.

Josh Varna, Brand Ambassador at Rémy Martin's Australian importer Spirits Platform, was present on the evening to explain the exclusive new release.

“This year, Remy Martin is celebrating 300 years as a Cognac house. 300 years of distilling, 300 years of aging, 300 years of growing wine. That is a huge feat. Now to celebrate that, we have the 300 Coupe,”  he said.

The limited edition anniversary release was crafted by Cellar Master Baptiste Loiseau using barrels from Rémy Martin’s Réserve Perpétuelle, a collection of eaux-de-vie exclusively from the Grande Champagne.

“Now the Coupe in itself is not something new for Rémy Martin; we use it as an anniversary, we use it as a celebration every single time. The wonderful thing about that is it's done through a way called perpetual reserve. It means that every single time a Coupe’s come out, a certain piece is left aside for someone else to build their next future. This one for 300 years is a combination of the 290 year anniversary and the 275 anniversary.”

The Grande Champagne vineyards used for the 300th Anniversary Coupe are considered the finest terroirs of the Cognac region.

Varna said: “Rémy Martin was the first house to be a fine champagne cognac which only used Petite and Grand Champagne but this is 100% Grand Champagne eaux-de-vies. So this is the smallest terroir from the most sought after grapes in the world and one of the most prestigious Houses of Cognac there is.”

The Rémy Martin 300th Anniversary Coupe will be made available to purchase in Australia from 16 August. For more information, click here.
