A collective of breweries and distilleries in Brookvale have teamed up to host BrookieFest 2024, a three-day festival from the 9th to the 11th of February.
BrookieFest will be held across seven venues all within walking distance, curated by: 4Pines, Manly Spirits, Buckettys, Freshwater, Dad & Dave’s, 7th Day & Goodradigbee.
The organisers say that the festival is set to be “an eclectic mix of events and attractions catering to diverse interests and all ages across the whole weekend.”
Held across the Brookvale Arts District (B.A.D), the event is part of an ongoing night-time destinations campaign that received a funding boost from the NSW state government mid-2023. Both Brookvale and neighbouring Freshwater were among 21 districts across Greater Sydney that were successful in receiving funding under the State Government’s Uptown Grant Program.
The Brookvale Arts District (BAD) received $200,000 to support the coordination and marketing for its BAD POSTER public art exhibition, and the DuskDown project in Freshwater, led by Freshwater based businesses, received $200,000 to stimulate the region’s night-time economy and re-engage the local community.
"We're excited for the first year of the annual ‘BrookieFest’ Festival, a diverse celebration that encapsulates the community of our arts district," said Hannah Brecknell from Manly Spirits.
