Brown-Forman Corporation purchased the BenRiach Distillery Company, producer of said brands, mid-last year. It has since been working to position the distribution of the whiskies for optimal growth in each market.
On taking over the distribution, Marc Satterthwaite, Vice President, Managing Director for Brown-Forman in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands said, “We are very excited to be able to bring these wonderful brands into the Brown-Forman portfolio in Australia. Both distributors, island2island and World of Whisky, have done a wonderful job in seeding them. We are privileged to have the opportunity to continue to nurture and grow these brands to reach their full potential.
“Furthermore, we believe that the award-winning single malt whiskies, when combined with the Jack Daniel’s family and our other premium brands, will allow us to provide a more comprehensive whiskey portfolio offering.
“Ultimately, the addition will help us drive value for our retail partners, while expanding to meet the needs of our ever-growing base of whiskey consumers.”
