Esteemed winemaker Loïc Le Calvez will join Chandon Australia as Senior Winemaker, bringing over 20 years of experience in the sparkling wine industry to the role.

Le Calvez is a highly qualified oenologist and respected wine judge who will bring an international perspective and exceptional palate to Chandon's Yarra Valley operations.

"I am thrilled to be joining Chandon Australia and to contribute to the rich winemaking heritage of the Yarra Valley.

"It is wonderful to work as part of the talented team at Chandon, not only in crafting exceptional sparkling wines but also in furthering their commitment to sustainability initiatives," said Le Calvez.

Since 2012 Chandon has been accredited by Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, the wine sector's national environmental scheme ensuring wine growers meet standards concerning biodiversity management, chemical use, air quality, water efficiency and the monitoring of pests and diseases.

Dan Buckle, Winemaking Director at Chandon Australia, said he's pleased to welcome Le Calvez to the team as Senior Winemaker.

The world's largest collective sparkling wine producer, Chandon Australia, is part of a global estate spanning four continents and six countries, including Argentina, Brazil, California, China, India and Australia. The Yarra Valley vineyard was established in 1986, with its first cuvées released in 1989.
