To celebrate the release of the Grand Vintage Rosé 2006, on Wednesday April 8, Moët & Chandon’s Chef de Cave, Benoit Gouez, hosted an intimate dinner in the Richard Wherrett Studio of the Rosyln Packer Theatre.

Guests were treated to a three-course dinner, expertly matched to the Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé collection, including the newly launched Grand Vintage Rosé 2006, as well two old and rare vintages from the House - Grand Vintage Rosé Collection 1999 and 1985.

Co-hosted by Kerrie McCallum, Editor-In-Chief of Delicious and Sunday Style alongside Moet & Chandon’s Chef de Cave, Benoit Gouez, the dinner was attended by Jesinta Campbell, Marta Dusseldorp, Natarsha Belling, Grace Huang and Anna Heinrich, among others.

Officially launched this week, the Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2006 is a modern celebration of vintage rosé Champagne and represents Benoit Gouez’s first vintage rosé for the House. Grand Vintage Rosé 2006 is the House’s 40th vintage rosé Champagne released since 1920, and follows the 2014 release of the Grand Vintage 2006.

Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé’s are Champagnes created from a single harvest, reflecting the flavours of a single, remarkable year.

Grand Vintage Rosé 2006 is a mature and generous wine. Its initial notes of biscuit and spice bread are followed by stone fruits of cherry, plum and prune, and completed by nuances of wild herbs (rosemary), saffron and dried rose. Its final slightly saline note makes this a powerful, ample and welcoming Champagne.
