Coogee Bay Hotel's most recent Charity Golf Day raised $267,000 for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation at Randwick. This marks the highest amount raised since the inception of the initiative.

Held on Thursday, 19 October, at the Bonnie Doon Golf Club, these newly-acquired funds are earmarked to provide essential support to the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation, further enhancing its mission to offer world-class care to young patients and their families.

The legacy of giving at Coogee Bay Hotel is deeply entrenched in its history. The ‘POWCH DAY’ initiative, launched in 1993, signified the commencement of the hotel's philanthropic journey, with $1 from every schooner sale being generously donated to the Prince of Wales Children's Hospital.

As the years rolled on, this initiative evolved into the Annual Charity Golf Day, an eagerly anticipated community event.

Furthering the hotel’s longstanding tradition of giving back, Coogee Bay Hotel donates 100 boutique hotel rooms annually for sick children and their families in need of accommodation.

David Gregory, General Manager of Coogee Bay Hotel, said, "Being the heart and hub of Coogee, we've always taken immense pride in nurturing and uplifting our community. We’re pleased we could raise so much money for our neighbours at Sydney Children’s Hospital, and it's gratifying to witness the generosity of our community to go toward tangible support for such a worthy cause.”

Coogee Bay Hotel has raised a collective sum to date of over $3.86 million for the Sydney Children’s Hospital. The donations have led to the monumental creation of short-stay surgical wards, the advancement of clinical wings, the bolstering of research programs, and more.
